I qualified from Leeds University in 2000 with numerous prizes and Honours and Distinction in Oral Surgery and Clinical Dentistry. I completed my vocational training in 2001, winning the research prize for Yorkshire. I then went on to work in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at the Leeds General Infirmary. During this time I treated oral cancer patients and those with significant facial injuries after trauma. I gained my passion for surgery during this time. I passed my membership exams for the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002.
I then moved to the midlands and began working at the University of Birmingham Dental School in 2003 as a Clinical Lecturer in Oral surgery. During this time I achieved a teaching qualification, published numerous papers and was involved in world class research in pain management and surgery.
Since leaving the hospital I have worked as a general dentist but kept my special interest in Oral Surgery. I have been placing implants since 2012 and I have completed a number of high profile Implant courses and the Minor oral surgery course at the Royal College of Surgeons. I now teach on The Campbell Academy Implant Course and I am an Oral Surgery Mentor for the Royal College of surgeons. I have worked with Changing Faces® Principal Dentist Marcus Gambroudes and Clinical Dental Technician and founder or Changing Faces Marc Northover since 2012 working as a team on numerous implant cases and Same Day Teeth treatments . I also work closely with our Consultant Anaesthetist Dr Simon Smart, to offer treatment under sedation. This helps take away some of the anxiety that phobic patients can experience, by using sedative medication to help them relax during dental procedures and for those patients who are undergoing extensive surgical treatment.
As an experienced general dental practitioner. I pride myself on quality in all aspects of my care, providing a caring, relaxed and understanding environment for patients so that they feel at ease with treatment. I spend time getting to know my patients so that I can provide the highest quality dentistry that will not only look and feel fabulous but be the right option for them. I look forward to meeting you and hopefully treating you at our newly established Harborne location.
