Gilly Mackenzie, Dentist
BDS, GDC No.63946
I graduated from the University College of London School of Dentistry in 1988 and completed my dental foundation training in the Cotswolds in 1989.
I have lived in Birmingham for nearly thirty years and have worked continuously at the same general dental practice for 23 years, caring for three generations of families.
As an experienced general dental practitioner, I take great care to provide the highest quality advice and treatment in all aspects of my dental care. My gentle, caring, relaxed approach has always resulted in extremely positive feedback from my patients in all age groups.
Throughout my career have attended a comprehensive range of continuing professional development courses, and in 2001 and 2007 I completed two, year-long, training programs in advanced restorative dentistry.
I have a particular interest in aesthetic restorative and cosmetic dentistry and work closely with world-renowned technician Rob Lynock to provide patients with naturally beautiful smiles using the latest porcelain veneer and ceramic crown materials. With kind permission of my patients, many of my clinical cases have featured in professional presentations at a wide range of international conferences.
Since joining the team at Changing Faces® in 2017, I am enjoying the exciting opportunity to help patients with complex dental problems return to excellent functional and aesthetic oral health, including the replacement of missing teeth with attractive and comfortable implant-retained restorations.
Outside dentistry, I have been married to internationally famous dental lecturer Louis Mackenzie for 25 years and our children Ella and Max are 18 and 20 years old respectively. I enjoy travelling and keeping fit and taking daily walks with our lovely miniature Labradoodle Nellie!
