Marc Northover, Clinical Dental Technician
BSc (Hons), Dip CDT RCS (Eng), GDC No. 130004

I qualified as Dental Technician in 1999 with a degree in Dental Technology. Shortly afterwards a leading international dental company employed me. For the following 10 years I worked primarily as a trainer and opinion leader in the UK and abroad, offering courses in full denture prosthetics, helping hundreds of dental professionals to create superior sets of dentures for their patients. I was fortunate to also learn from the many talented individuals I met.
Never one to shy away from education, at the age of 29 I began my international studies as a student of George Brown College in Toronto, Canada, where in 2007 I achieved an Advanced Diploma in Denturism. I continued my studies in the UK and a year later I was awarded a Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In the years that followed I treated hundreds of patients who had suffered with denture problems. The care and attention I gave them during this time was acknowledged by my peers, and I was awarded Clinical Dental Technician of the Year for two years running in 2009 and 2010.
Since 2010 I have been working extensively with patients who have suffered a life of denture problems or face the tragic situation of losing all of their teeth. Dental implants have changed everything and I am now at a point in my career where, working closely with my colleague Dr Suresh Chohan and Dr Guy McLellan, I can now offer my patients the choice of fixed teeth in day. It’s very much like reversing time and giving my patients their teeth back!
In 2019 I was the winning dental technician at the prestigious Aesthetic Dentistry Awards in the category of multiple dental implants. I am a finalist at the 2020 Aesthetic Dentistry Awards too.
