OUR SERVICES |
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root, which is placed in the jawbone as an anchor for attached crowns and bridges. It can also support entire arches of replacement teeth with implant-assisted dentures or Same Day Teeth. We expertly place hundreds of dental implants each year – it’s an attractive and permanent solution for easily and effectively filling the spaces left behind after the loss of teeth caused by gum disease and decay. Our award-winning Implant Dentist Marcus Gambroudes has many years of experience in all aspects of implant dentistry, as does our highly regarded associate dentist Steve Taylor. For your comfort and safety, all dental implant treatments carried out by Marcus and Steve are carefully planned using the latest digital dentistry systems.
Cosmetic dental treatments can be used to lighten, straighten, replace and repair teeth. Dominic Wild heads up our cosmetic dentistry service. The primary focus of cosmetic dentistry is improving the appearance of the teeth, but Dominic also focuses on function. After all, there’s no point in looking fantastic if you can’t eat or speak properly! Dominic’s expertise allows him to use multiple treatments to achieve the perfect cosmetic result; we often refer to this as a smile makeover. In particular, Dominic works with patients who want nothing but the best and are prepared to commit to his well thought out smile design treatment plans. Ultra-thin veneers, ceramic crowns and whitening can be combined to create the most natural looking cosmetic result. Dominic’s cosmetic treatments are often enhanced by the use of Invisalign as a gentle and nearly invisible way to move teeth, and teeth whitening is amongst the most popular cosmetic procedures we offer.
Here at Changing Faces® Dentistry we offer private dental care to all our patients drawn from many areas including Solihull, Birmingham, Conventry and Warwickshire areas. Our team now includes Steve Taylor, a very experienced and a highly qualified Dental Surgeon who will diagnose, treat and manage your oral health care needs and advise you about the best course of action to take, prior to any specialist dentistry treatments that you might require. The link between poor dental health and whole body health is now well documented. Poor dental health can be linked to heart disease, strokes, diabetes and lung conditions. You may wish to take the opportunity to join our practice. In this case we offer value for money, as we are registered with Denplan – the UK’s leading dental payment plan specialist. Our cosmetic dentist Dominic Wild also offers general dentistry to his growing list of patients.
Same Day Teeth
You will be pleased to know that there is a solution for complete tooth loss other than full dentures, offering the closest thing to natural teeth. Our experts offer a revolutionary treatment to those in need. This involves fitting completely lifelike arches of teeth to dental implants, often involving only a single day procedure.
We combine teamwork, comprehensive treatment planning and meticulous preparation – enabling us to position arches of non-removable teeth on the same day as the precision implant placement. Marcus Gambroudes, our Implant Dentist, works closely with Clinical Dental Technician Marc Northover to offer our award-winning Same Day Teeth service. Both Marcus and Marc were Winners in the 2014 Aesthetic Dentistry Awards for the use of multiple implants in their Same Day Teeth service, and more recently Finalists at the Aesthetic Dentistry Awards 2016. Our consultant Anaesthetist Dr Simon Smart completes the Knowle Same Day Teeth team, offering sedative medication to soothe your anxiety during the procedure; this is most suitable for those with a genuine dental phobia.
We pride ourselves on having our award-winning Clinical Dental Technician Marc Northover as part of our team. Marc offers over 25 years experience in the creation of natural looking dentures. Marc is the founder of Changing Faces® and pioneered the techniques for producing the most natural looking dentures using Denture Genics® – dentures influenced by your gender, age and personality – and the Changing Faces® Effect to offer a dual effect by restoring your smile and revolumising your face. By working closely with implant Dentists Marcus Gambroudes and Steve Taylor, Marc is able to make complete dentures perform like natural teeth with the use of dental implants.
Marc has his own state-of-the-art dental laboratory on site where he skilfully creates dentures for each patient that he treats. In particularly Marc is skilled in the creation of precision partial dentures that are designed to look as if they grew into place. Marc’s professional career has been commended on many occasions. His denture work and standards of care were recognised at the annual UK Dental Awards in 2009 and 2010 where he was voted Clinical Dental Technician of the Year. More recently, in 2014 Marc was the Winner for the use of multiple implants to retain arches of natural looking teeth that he created, and was a Finalist in this year’s Aesthetic Dentistry Awards.

We offer you convenient, discreet and fast ways to straighten your teeth. We favour the Invisalign system, and FREE assessments are available from our Invisalign expert Dominic Wild. Dominic uses Invisalign as a standalone treatment and as part of the many cosmetic dentistry cases he completes. For specialist orthodontics we refer to Dr. Virginia Rootkin-Gray who has a wealth of experience correcting the correcting the teeth and putting them in perfect alignment. Virginia uses the revolutionary brace system Incognito.
Our team of cosmetic dentists highly recommend Enlighten Smiles, the Evolution Home Whitening System that is currently the ONLY teeth whitening system in the word to guarantee Vita shade B1 for the whitest teeth. Custom made trays are created, similar to a mouth guard and whitening gel is placed inside them, the trays sit comfortably over the teeth and gradually whiten them. Tooth whitening is the ideal treatment for special occasions such as weddings and anniversaries. Enlighten is only available subject to a dental examination, upon which our dentists will clarify if you are a suitable candidate for tooth whitening. Our dental experts will discuss the process with you in more detail at the time of your enquiry.
You’re not alone if you suffer from dental phobia and the prospect of visiting the dentist makes you feel anxious and nervous. Many of our new patients feel exactly the same prior to dental appointments and procedures. With the sedation services we offer, led by Consultant Anaesthetist Dr Simon Smart, the medication will help soothe your anxiety and make you feel calm during your dental treatment. We aim to help you overcome your fears and anxieties but sedation is most suitable for patients who display symptoms of a genuine dental phobia that might prevent them from visiting the dentist and undergoing essential dental treatment. Only when we have discussed all the options with you will we offer you the service.
This is one of the most important services we offer. We can save teeth by treating gum disease and tooth decay and keep your teeth in great condition once you have completed treatment with us. Dental hygiene helps to improve overall health too. Not only can we treat gum disease, bad breath, tooth loss and decay, but by doing so you may improve your general health as poor oral hygiene has been linked to heart disease, strokes, lung conditions and dental decay. Our dental hygienist Babita Kainth is on hand to help you develop a good oral health routine at home as well as providing professional care in our clinic. Babita can strengthen your tooth defences with fluoride varnish and sealants, reduce pain and discomfort from sensitive teeth and reduce inflammation and bleeding. And if you are a Denplan member the dental hygiene is great value for money and is offered as standard. Keeping your natural teeth clean, and gums disease-free, will also save you money in the long run.
Also known as root canal treatment, endodontics is used to treat the tooth’s inner pulp. This treatment results in the removal of infection and protects the tooth from further infection in the future. Our Dentist Steve Taylor has extensive experience in these treatments and is always on hand to advise on the best method for your particular circumstances.
The root canals and their associated pulp chamber contain the pulp; this is where the blood vessels, nerve tissue and other cellular entities are found. During endodontic treatment, these structures are removed and the root canals are shaped, cleaned and decontaminated using small files and irrigating solutions. Once this is complete, the decontaminated canals are filled with an inert substance.
Many local dentists from the Solihull and Birmingham areas kindly refer patients to us, especially for dental implant treatments, Same Day Teeth and dentures. If you have been referred to us for further investigation(s) or treatment, this will be arranged privately through our referral system and a member of our dental team will be in touch with you shortly. We look forward to seeing you!
